Gowerton School, having been established nearly 125 years ago, is a school with a rich, strong tradition and heritage. A community school in every sense of the word. We feel a huge sense of pride in our cultural, sporting and academic success.
Our school motto is ‘Mi ddylwn, mi allaf, mi fynnaf’ ( I should, I can , I shall). We always strive to get the very best from our whole school community and encourage all to be the best they can be.
As an experienced Headteacher I strongly believe that all kinds of achievement should be valued.
We are an inclusive school boasting a wide range of opportunities both within and beyond the curriculum. Our ethos is one that encourages pupils to achieve their very best but also centres around promoting well-being, support and guidance to all in our care.
It is this ethos that has enabled our students to achieve excellent exam results at all levels. Such success is a result of the hard work and commitment from all members of the school community.
The outstanding relationships that exist between the school and the wider community exemplify our belief that each individual must be supported to achieve their full potential. We work closely with our North Gower Partnership Schools to ensure pupils aged from 3 – 18 share and understand our ethos. In doing so they can thrive and flourish.
As changes and developments occur in education nationally our North Gower Partnership schools work diligently to ensure that our pupils will be ambitious, confident, ethical and enterprising citizens of the future.
