Welcome to our website. Gowerton School, having been established over 120 years ago, is a school with a rich, strong tradition and heritage. A community school in every sense of the word, we feel a huge sense of pride in our cultural, sporting and academic success.
Indeed, as an experienced Headteacher, I strongly believe that all kinds of achievement should be valued. Ensuring a balance between preparing for future challenges whilst maintaining our proud heritage and core values is very important to us as a community.
We are an inclusive school boasting a wide range of opportunities both within and beyond the curriculum. Our ethos is one that centres around promoting wellbeing, support and guidance to the students in our care.
It is this ethos that has enabled our students to achieve excellent exam results over a number of years. Such success is a result of the hard work and commitment from all members of the school community. The outstanding relationships that exist between the school and the wider community exemplify our belief that each individual must be supported to achieve their full potential. As our pupils embark on their future careers we wish them well and acknowledge their achievements; we are extremely proud of their success year in year out. Such students have firmly established a culture of expectation and a commitment to success – one that our current pupils will continue to uphold.
In the sporting arena our pupils excelled in local and national competitions. At present we are busy planning for our sporting teams’ Summer Tour to South Africa and Australia and I thank all those staff who give so freely of their time to ensure that all pupils involved are able to enjoy invaluable experiences which will hopefully stay with them for a very long time.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school – all details are available here on the site.
